Is there any way to backup or sync the to do list to my computer?

Bill,
The short answer is yes but it is a difficult process. We would like to make
it easier.

A user used Astrid as an example of how to backup data. See the link below
for the example:

The reasons we implemented Rememberthemilk.com was to create a way to backup
your data but we recognize that we need a better sync. This should come in
our 3.x version since Astrid is going to be upgraded substantially in the
next release and backing up data prior to this will be recommended.
