blobstore would benefit from having seperate tech to datastore

More a request/suggestion than a bug, but I'd love to be able to choose one tech for the datastore and another for the blob store. I can make different apps to work around, but not ideal.

Unless I'm missing something?

This is definitely possible but not on the road map. If this is something
you would like to implement let me know and I can show you how to get
started.
