PPA for Alarm Clock

Asked by Chow Loong Jin

Currently, the only source of Ubuntu packages for Alarm Clock is GetDeb.net, which, as we know, doesn't currently provide an APT interface for automatic updates.

Hence, I'd like to enquire as to whether or not there are plans for creating a PPA that hosts Alarm Clock debs. If not, I'd like to propose the idea, and whoever is interested can join me in the creation of an "alarmclock-team" that maintains a PPA hosting these packages.

An official alarm clock ppa would be great. I was looking for a repository to add for this but i guess it doesn't exist yet. Alarm clock is in the intrepid repos though

Intrepid has packages huh? I'm thinking of starting an alarmclock-team which will maintain a PPA
containing Hardy and Gutsy alarm-clock packages. These can be backported from Intrepid, as you've
mentioned they exist there. What do you say to that? The PPA can then extend to provide up to date
debian packages for Intrepid and its successors, since Ubuntu is a static release distro.
