Store svn password or ask for it less frequently

I used "Save Version" to link my notebook with subversion via the svn+ssh:// protocol. Now each time I open a new page I am prompted to enter the password for the ssh login. I flip back and forth between pages frequently and this has become very annoying. Is there anything I can do to suppress this message (it doesn't seem to have any effect on the modified files because they are not commited as their status using svn stat on the command line is still 'M')? Is there a purpose to the frequent request for the password?
