Mime types - trouble opening apps

Hello,

I have trouble opening PDF or JPEG (after downloading into Zim) : when I click on the name to show the content of the document, Zim opens Gimp (not Evince nor Eye of Gnome, the default apps).

Its ok for OpenOffice but for TXT is opens gedit even if I ask for geany in the Editor field...

Bug or bad parameters ?

Are you sure you have proper defaults configured ? I noticed some file managers have an "implicit" default when no default is set explicitly.

You can also try the "mimeopen" commandline tool to manipulate the default settings.

Can you help with this problem?
