How to open Zim Pages from another application?

Helo,

I would like to open zim pages from another application, is there a way to link a zim pages similar to linking web pages?

I will add the zim link to the 3rd-party application, click on the link, and zim will open the selected link in Zim.

This is the reversed of what Zim can do which is opening other links from 3rd-party application.

Is this possible?

I tried running the web server, the downside is i need to run the webserver

I tried using shortcut but it will open a text editor instead.

Is it possible to have something like a zim:// url? this will link to a zim page

The zim:// is a URI scheme

Can we add a zim URI scheme in Zim Desktop Wiki so we can open it on 3rd party applications?

I've been thinking about how to add link support, maybe we can use tiddlywiki, using zim desktop wiki for the desktop and a backend for tiddlywiki for the mobile and web.
