Equation Editor Fails to print png (Windows 10, Zim-0.65)

Asked by John SB

Hi,

I have latex.exe and dvipng.exe installed and on my path via the MiKTeX distribution (typing latex.exe and dvipng.exe in the command line outputs file information ... seems to be working)

I'm just testing a simple latex command ($$ E = hv $$) to make sure it works, and nothing is being outputted. I'm having trouble interpreting the log file (see full log at at end), the only thing that seems to be going wrong is:

LaTeX Font Info: Try loading font information for U+msa on input line 11.
("C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\tex\latex\amsfonts\umsa.fd"
File: umsa.fd 2013/01/14 v3.01 AMS symbols A
)
LaTeX Font Info: Try loading font information for U+msb on input line 11.

File: umsb.fd 2013/01/14 v3.01 AMS symbols B
)
! Missing } inserted.

Am I just missing a font?

Any advice? Thanks,
John

I don't know what exactly was going wrong, but I reinstalled MiKTeX via ProTeXt and equation editor is now working.
