Zim does not find Graphviz

My PC runs Windows 8.1 (64-bit).
I am new to Zim, and have tried to activate the Link Map. I installed Graphviz with the windows installer & let the program be installed at its suggested location, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Graphviz2.38.
However, when I go the plugins tab (Edit/Preferences) the checkbox for Link Map is greyed out & there is a comment in red saying "Graphviz - failed".
Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

Zim will search the PATH for an executable "dot.exe" to make sure this is found you can either add the GraphViz install folder to the system wide PATH variable, or start zim using a ".bat" file.
