Zim

Does Zim use temporary files?

Asked by Strukt

I am developing a plugin for which I am trying to figure out the details of how Zim (0.62) works. The one question so far: Does Zim make use of temporary files?

If so, when are they used and what for? Where are they stored?

Have a look at the module "zim.fs". There is a special file object class
for using temporary files. If you want to see examples where it is used,
just grep for the class name in the code.

Thanks, I just had a look. Is there any signal I can connect to upon the creation/modification of a temporary file? Maybe I overlooked...

You mean a global signal for all temporary files? Can you explain first
what you are trying to do? Maybe I can offer a better suggestion.
