Zim

Any Preference setting to start web server at startup?

Asked by apjena@gmail.com

Thanks. I've been using zim for quite a long time. In the long use size of the wiki grows on and at times I only need to read the content. For this I need to have the web server started up at the start itself. It perhaps can be done by the startup settings in gnome by '--webserver' option. But I want to know, weather there is some intrinsic preference settings option available for this!
And also could the server be made to get updated in real time? Because if the content is modified in the app, as of now the server has to be restarted to show the effect.

You mean at startup of your computer ?

To do that you should check the "start up applications" setting on your
desktop and add the command "zim --server".

The server is reading the up to date content from the wiki, so after
editing refreshing the page in the browser should already show all updates.
