Zim

file_browser error and spellcheck doesn't work

Asked by firebird

I just installed Zim for Debian Squeeze from the debian stable repository (version 0.48-1).

After installing, spell check doesn't work even though the library is installed and enabled.

Also, when I go to edit preferences and change any option, it throws an error with the message "file_browser" and "none". When I look at the applications tab, the file browsers drop down list is empty. My file browser is Nautilus in Gnome 2.

Is there a way to resolve these issues or are they bugs?

Do you have the plugin enabled ? If it is not possible to enable the
plugin, the python binding for the library can not be found or
generates an error when loading. Run zim as "zim -D" from a terminal
to check for error messages.

Would help if you post the full message, or error output from the terminal.

My guess is that this issue is resolved by installing the "xdg-open" command.

Hope this helps,

Jaap
