Link to relative directory as default

I need to sync my notes in Zim between different boxes. So, I need relative directory links as default while editing links. But each time, the links are changed to absolute path after editing. I have to edit the text using external editor again. It's really annoying. Hope the dir link can be relatively as default. Thanks!

Relative links should be the default. So obvious questions from my side
are, what version of zim are you running ? and can you give an example ?

I used 0.52 under Debian Linux. I have upgraded to 0.55 today. The new version seems OK. :-)
