Zim

choose default tray icon

Asked by arod

I'm running Zim 0.48 on Debian Unstable (but the same applies for Ubuntu Lucid). Trayicon plugin is active with options classic=True and standalone=False.

I know I can set different icons for each notebook but they only show when standalone=True (but then I get too many icons cluttering the tray area). With Standalone=False I only get the default zim icon.

So how do I change the default zim icon?
Even better: is thre some way to show the icon for the active notebook only?

Maybe I don't understand your question. If you use standalone=True you
get a single icon for all notebooks. Therefore this icon can not take
the icon of individual notebooks, but will be the default zim icon.

If you think about theming, you can put a new zim.png in the relevant folder.

That kind of defeats the purpose of a trayicon. THe purpose of a
trayicon is to show an application that is not active and allow quick
access.
