Triaxial test with flexible cylindrical membrane

Asked by Ruidong LI

Hi, I'm new to Yade. I wanted to do a triaxial test on a cylindrical specimen with a flexible membrane. I would like to how can I model the flexible membrane, and are there any available codes for references? Can somebody help me?

Dear Jan,

Thanks for your reply. I have read your recommendation. But I am wondering whether it is applicable to use bonded particles representing flexible membrane instead of PFacet? If so, can you give me some hints (How to simulate bonded particles or how to apply force on them to achieve stress-servo control)?

Looking forward to your reply. Many thanks.

Best,
Kyle

yes, I think it is another option.

> How to simulate bonded particles

use a cohesive model, have a look at examples of Cpm, CohFrict, JCFpm..
