the control window gets stuck

Asked by LiTingting

Hello!
I just ran a .py file(for example,***.py) with yade, the control window got stuck. The detail is that I couldn't click anything, and the real time is frozen. when I try to close the window, the other window will appear, which says" '***.py' is not responding."
I don't know why it will be stuck. I'm using a virtual machine to use Ubuntu. Maybe the reason is not big disk space? So could you tell me the reason so that I can use normally?

Hello,

please read [1] and provide a MWE and how you run the script.

What you describe is expected behavior, when python is "in action".

Cheers
Jan

Thank you, Jan!

I ran the simDEM.py[1] in Yade. I just want to ran to know the function of this file. Now I guess it's a module imported by other .py file. So I also need to learn more about the FEMxDEM examples.
Thank you again!
