Burger's contact model

Asked by Yuqi Shao

I have seen many papers implemented Burger's contact model. Could I ask if it is available to use directly in the newest release? One paper is already included as a reference in Yade's documentation.

Hello,

> if it is available to use directly in the newest release?

AFAIK no, the model is not in Yade's source code.
There were some discussions on the topic, you can have a look at [1,2] (and references therein) for reference / inspiration [1].
There was even the question how to incorporate the changes, but probably it has never been realized.. [3]

> One paper is already included as a reference in Yade's documentation.

it is in "publications", which is essentially different from "references".
Probably the best approach is try to contact the authors.

Cheers
Jan

Hi Jan,

Thank you for the answer. It is so unfortunate that no one has push the changes although many people have used the model.

As you mentioned there is a question [3] about incorporating the changes, did you receive any pull request of his code? The code in [2] is still quite messy and cannot be used directly.

Best Regards,
Yuqi
