Installation on Centos 7

Asked by Jinny Kim

To whom it may concern,

I want to install Yade on Centos 7, but I am not sure if it is possible. Because as far as I understand, Yade is supported by only Ubuntu and Debian. Can anyone help me to install Yade on Centos7? Thank you for your help in advance.

Sincerely,

Hello,

It is possible [1], but requires a relatively good handle on the compilation and linking of third party libraries in linux as well as the compilation of yade itself. In comparison to ubuntu where you simply type apt-get install yade :-).

Cheers,

Robert
