PFV packages

Asked by azim

Dear all,

I want to run a simulation with DEM-PFV like was done in oedometer.py. I want to make sure if all necessary packages exist for getting correct results.
Q) what are necessary packages for DEM-PFV? how to be sure of their existance?

thanks,

Azim

Hi,

I think the check script DEM-PFV-check.py (basically oedometer.py if I remember correctly ?) is here for this purpose. If this test passes, you may probably assume everything is there.

This being said, "passes" has a more general meaning than "does not fail" here, as you also have to check the execution speed, which is not satisfactory with your current installation, according to your other question https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/662276 (see my comment #9 therein)

Is there a reason we aren't continuing to solve this same problem in your original thread? You still have not replied to my suggested solution [1].

Cheers,

Robert

NO, there is no reason for not answering that thread:

I tried all possibilities, but got the same result.then I decided to ask it in a different way.
I will continue that.[1]
