yade installation error

Asked by ozge

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install yade from the Source Code. I followed the recipe given in https://yade-dem.org/doc/installation.html . İnstalled prequsities and then go for make install for yade. Finally what I could see is that it seems to be installed and yade-2017-12-21.git-d6cfc7f is being compiled under install/bin folder without any problem. But when I try to run ./yade-2017-12-21.git-d6cfc7f

I get following error:

Welcome to Yade 2017-12-21.git-d6cfc7f

BTW I can say that I am able to smoothly install libQGLViewer from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libqglviewer but not properly from http://libqglviewer.com/installUnix.html .

Do you think whether I am having a libGQLViewer related problem during the installation ?

I appreciate any idea which can help in solving this issue.

Hello,

Which Linux distribution are you using? There are a few causes and solutions to this undefined symbol problem [1][2][3][4]. Maybe [1] is most relevant to you.

Please post your cmake output so we can see if you are linking to the proper libraries.

Also, what happens when you try running 'sudo yade-2017-12-21.git-d6cfc7' ?

Cheers,

Robert

Earlier when I am able to compile it I have also tested running "sudo yade-2017-12-21.git-d6cfc7" but it gave the similar error.

thank you for your kind interest

It seems you are missing quite a few boost dependencies. Did you solve this?

Can you help with this problem?
