default IO error handler doing an exit()

Asked by Swapnil

Hi friends,
I am running a script in yade on Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya.
I get the following error: [0mICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 3634, errno = 32. Does it have something to do with the system and/or software or with the python script?

any ideas what might be wrong. How can I fix the error? Should I post the script here?

Hi,

I'm also facing quite often this error (does your yade session end right after this error ?) which is clearly not script-related in my opinion. (you may find some info regarding this error on the internet)

For me the workaround is to remove from your home folder .ICEAuthority (or something like that, starting with the ".").
From my experience this file will most probably be re created after some system updates, letting the problem reappear, until you remove again .ICEAuthority

Thanks for the inputs Jerome :)
I tried to locate the .ICEAuthority file in the Home folder. However, there seems no such file named in there. I am looking into the other folders on the system.
Could not get any useful info upon googling...

Was inside the hidden files. found it. But I have a simulation running already. So, I guess the system needs to be restarted in order for the deletion to take effect.

Can you help with this problem?
