Two different EnlargeFactors within a simulation

Asked by Mike

Hi Yade users,
I intend to use DEM in YADE to model different layers of a sandwich panel. For that purpose, I need to use two material models and two different EnlargeFactors (both aabbEnlargeFactor and interactionDetectionFactor) for two layers. However, I cannot find the way to do that because there is only one Engine.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?
Thank you so much,
Mike

Hi,
EnlargeFactors are used to generate more virtual interactions, in the end it is (should be) the set Ig2/Ip2/Law2 which will decide if there is really an interaction (e.g. with a simple law it will be only if un<0).
So, it should be safe to assign the same EnlargeFactors to all layers (the upper bound of you current list of per-layer values).
I hope it helps.
Bruno
