Extract 2D sections

Dear all,
         I want to extract some 2D sections from 3D DEM model. The section is like this https://www.dropbox.com/s/x3vr2vgxpq8eyhb/1.jpg?dl=0

         Anyone could provide help in this question or are there some examples?

Hello,

You will want to use Paraview for your visualization needs. Paraview allows you to slice and clip objects as you wish [1] (the picture you refer to appears to be a 3D clip).
