visualization cohesive and non-cohesive bonds of an JCFpm model in paraview

Asked by alma

Dear all,
I want to show cohesive and non-cohesive bonds of a DFN-DEM model in paraview as it has been shown in paper [1] (see fig16.b). what can I do for this? Is there any special vtk function for this?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
best regards,
Alma

Hi Alma,

If you add 'jcfpm' in the VTKRecorder's recorders options (VTKRecorder(option1, option2, ..., recorders=['jcfpm'], optionn, ...), you should be able to see the interactions wireframe in Paraview and then to select the isCohesive attribute to discriminate between cohesive (1) and non cohesive (0) contacts.
