Simulating time-dependent behavior of geo-material in Yade

Asked by Fu zuoguang

Dear Prof. Chareyre and all users:

Thanks for your last help. Today my question is just about simulating time-dependent behaviors of geo-material in Yade.
As you known, all my past simulations in Yade have concerned about only quasi-static problems of geo-materials. These problems are mapped just only by their ‘state’ properties. But in nature, every soil lives in that all of its properties undergo changes with time–some significantly, and some of those are very important. Time-dependent deformation, and stress relaxation in geotechnical problems are of interest. However, some related achievements based on DEM, of course, are very few.
Now, Yade has the potential for one kind of time-dependent behavior—creep analysis. The algorithms of material and contact law definition which include creep variables are derived from this article:

Hassan, A., Chareyre, B., Darve, F., Meyssonier, J., Flin, F. (2010 (submitted)),
Microtomography-based discrete element modelling of creep in snow. Granular Matter.

But I cannot download it on the internet, if it is permissible for me to refer to this article, please send it to me by E-mail.

Dear Fu Zuogang,
The paper is still "in preparation" unfortunately, it should be removed
from the web page. The contact law itslef is functional though.

Dear Prof. Chareyre,

Thanks all the same.
