I'm trying to model the uniaxial compression of a powder contained in a facetbox. For the dimensions of the box, the gravity as well as the sphere properties I've been using the centimeter-gram-second system. The force is applied by a plate moving down at a fixed velocity, I was wondering what units the force would be in?

Hi, Yade is using meter-kilogram-second-newton system.

From my point of view, Yade summs and multiplies numbers, without considering any unit. It's up to the user to associate a unit to a resulting number, that is consistent with the units associated with input numbers.

In your case, I do not know what is the consistent associated force unit. An alternative way, as Alex said, is to consider that all numbers are in "international system" units.
