wishlist-bug when purging ppa
Y PPA Manager is a wonderful little app that I'm using more and more all the time...
But occassionally have problems opening the "purge PPA". This seems to happen when
1) I have Y PPA open, then
2) open (and install app with) Synaptic - then close Synaptic
3) then try to open "purge PPA" - even after waiting 5-10 minutes I still get:
4) error msg: "Selected action won't work..." (however if I do a "apt-get update" (or install) in terminal there are no problem.
Add to wishlist: I would like the feature to "clean" PPAs, which would have two options:
1) remove all commented (or unused) PPAs
2) purge duplicated PPAs
3) FUTURE DEVEL POSSIBILITY: track how often a repository is used for updating files (by querying logs) and if not used in the past XX months, delete PPA.
I'm mostly interested in option 2, since my list of PPAs is very long and I'm finding that I have unnecessary duplicates
It seems that every year my list of repositories gets longer and longer and it feels like I'm loosing control of which locations are being used and how often I'm using each of the PPAs -- maybe something to think of as you develop your app.)
