Turn off taskbar button; options not working

Asked by paul1149

Hi,

Xpad looks very nice, but I have two problems. I would like to eliminate the taskbar (or "panel" in Linux) button that represents an open note. I'm on LinuxLite, a ubuntu derivative, and tend to have too many taskbar buttons open already. I would like this program to operate in the background.

Secondly, none of the right-click sticky note options are working. Properties, preference, etc do nothing. The preferences are accessible via the tasktray icon.

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

What version of Xpad are you using?

Hi Arthur,

I couldn't get it through Help/About, so I found it in the Synaptics package manager: 4.2-0ubuntu1. LinuxLite is a ubuntu derivative.

Thanks.

I would suggest updating Xpad to the latest release 4.5

If your repository doesn't give you a newer Xpad version, then maybe you can first upgrade your distribution?

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask paul1149 for more information if necessary.
