Xibo Crash

Asked by Shawn

Running an ACER machine. It all worked fine and dandy. When I added the same video to another region and displayed them on the same screen Xibo Crashes. It worked fine for me the other day now all of a sudden xibo crashes. The videos show for 15 seconds then CTD.

Thanks
Shawn

Hi Shawn,

I assume you are talking .NET client?

Are you running the same video on the same layout in two regions at the same time? I.e. are the videos running simultaneously? If so then I am certain I haven't tested that scenario (I will do if you confirm that is your use case).

It would be similar to running the same video in two windows media players at the same time (I am not sure that is possible).

I have had to problems since I edited the layout, I created two regions on the layout and put the same video into both regions, and it crashed xibo every time.

If you upload the same video again under a different name and then substitute one of the videos for the new version does it work then?

I will assume you are talking about the .NET client and test with two videos.

I will create a bug report for this and investigate.

For the moment could you try uploading another copy of the video (into a new media item) in the administration interface and putting those side by side - I suspect this will work.
