Can Xibo run without connect to server ?

I have many display that cannot connect to server or other network ? Do I run Xibo client in standalone mode without install Xibo server there ? This just copy all files in Xibo local library location from other machine to the same path right ?

Some display I run on network when network have a problem or disconnect at first time display start up each day , This always have a flash screen without any media . without nothing to do when the connection is up everything is OK.

1. You could do that, and it should work fine, but you'll need to stop the client running when you replace the library directory later on to update the content, and then start it back up.

2. We know of some issues with 1.0.4 when the network is of poor quality (eg over 3G dongle etc). Those issues are addresses in 1.0.5 which will be out shortly. I'd install that when it comes out and see if it solves the problem for you first.

Unfortunately copying the entire library over will not be sufficient as Xibo will not know what to play... you will have to either:

1. Connect that display to the network, register it in Xibo options and run it at least once. Before you run it make sure it has the complete schedule of things you want it to play off-line.

2. Copy the library. Also copy the user.config file and schedule.xml file found in your User Application Data directory (under the Xibo subdirectory). I have not tried this - so it may not work.

After either of these options you can then leave it off-line.
