Hi,

The transparency on RSS that you describe is actually the intended functionality.

Do you have a GIF as your background image? If so could you try replacing your GIF with a JPEG and seeing if that fixes the issue for you.

RSS is transparent all the time, as long as you use JPEG background picture (Do NOT use GIF)

Tried uploading a jpeg instead, but when trying to set the background it say´s "Image not found"

Tried different way to save the jpeg but with the same result.

Even tried creating a new layout with the same problem.

Where does it say that? At the point you upload the image? Or at the point where you set the background image? or ?

A JPEG file is a JPEG file so there shouldn't be any special way you need to save it. I tend to use a .jpg extension but I think we allow a .jpeg extension too.

When uploading it´s works as normal. It´s when i choose the picture as background it says "image not found."

Had this problem with .png as well.

I have the .jpg as extension.

If i upload a GIF i don´t have this problem.

That means the file isn't in your server's library, or the server doesn't have permission to read them.

It's strange though that it should work for one type of file and not for the other as they're handled by the same code.

PNGs won't work for background images.

If you add the image in to a region instead, does it show in the preview when you click the blue arrows on the region?

Cheers

Got some jpg files to work but not all. Either way thats a later issue, the rss or textbox is still not transparant, what do i do wrong?

First restart the client. Sometimes when you've used a GIF or a PNG as a
background the client won't show things correctly until it's restarted.

If that doesn't work, please send a screenshot over to <email address hidden>
along with all .xlf files from your clients local library and the
background you're using.

Cheers

In "Xibo Options" where you specify the xibo library folder we had only
specified \XiboLibrary. But when changing to C:\XiboLibrary it works with transparency.
