How many clients can be connected?

Asked by Peter Huss

How many clients / screens can be connected in a Xibo system?
The reason for my question is that when I look at the "Schedule" Tab there seems to be a bit tight for the icons in the top of the screen if I were to connect more than, say 8 or 10 clients.
I was looking to install atleast 40-50 at stage 1. And 200 in stage 2.
Would that be possible?

Hi Peter

There's no limitation to the backend (other than server loading etc). The schedule screen doesn't scale well at all though.

1.1/1.2 series will have display groups which will tidy that whole interface up and make hundreds of clients a more practical proposition.

We've had 60 odd clients running on a non-open source previous version of Xibo without issue, but the GUI has changed since then so I'm not 100% sure what will happen with those numbers. It should however be a really easy hack for you to modify the output to say only put a text link to each screen for now?

Cheers

Alex

Thanks again for a great software.
I´ll give the text link-hack a go. Good workaround!

Cheers,
Peter
