Displays are connecting but no content.

Asked by Bengaul

Hi,

Thanks for what looks like a superb product. My issue is that although I have my displays registered, and I have scheduled content, I am unable to get anything on the clients. I have tried chaging the schedules arround, and different layouts. I have also tried changing the collection interval. None of which has made any difference. Any help appreciated.

Ben

Hi, no I'm running Apache 2.2.x on XP with PHP and MySQL. It is a virtual machine if that makes any difference...

Can you try replacing your xmds.php with the one attached in the linked bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xibo/+bug/373626

Then restart the client application.

Cheers

Alex

Hi,

Thank you for the response. I am pleased to say that it's working. I tried the updated xmds.php, which made the connections to the clients more stable, but the problem with the uploading of content remained. After a few days of on and off fiddling, I decided to move to Ubuntu, and it worked first time. So it looked to be an issue with Apache, PHP, MySQL on the Windows platform. I'm sorry but I just don't have a clue why it did not work on Windows for me.

Thanks for the help,

Ben.
