Region aspect ratio

Asked by Andrew

Is it possible to find the aspect ratio of a region? I know absolute pixel size would vary from client to client, but it is currently difficult to get regions set up easily to take specific content without a lot of trial and error resizing regions to remove borders, especially as content isn't allowed to stretch.

There's a blueprint in for manual input of region sizes - which would give you a relative pixel size, and hence aspect ratio.

At the moment, there's no way to specify manually.

If you want to see what has been generated, on a client look in your Xibo Library (defaults to My Documents\Xibo Library) and open up the corresponding .xlf file (you'll have to do that by guess too as I don't think we expose the layout ID in the web interface).

You'll see in there the absolute dimensions of the layout and corresponding regions, as documented in the XLF schema here: http://labs.xibo.org.uk/blueprints/Home/documentation/xlf-xml-schema
