Assigning WMV kills the Client

Asked by Steve

If I assign a WMV to play the client crashes with an unhandled expection error.
(This maybe cbecause of a previos post and the client thinks its an image and not a movie..)

Cheers

I expect you're right. I've assigned the bug related to your first post to Dan (as it's his fault :P - lol) so he can check on this once the first problem is fixed.

This is definitely directly caused by the "WMV stores media type as Image" bug - and therefore I have attached a copy of that bug to this.

I have already fixed the bug in 1.0.0-rc3. If you want to get a patch for that bug just let me know (otherwise it will be fixed when you update to rc3 - which will be out soon).

Once you have rc3 you will need to delete the WMV you uploaded and re-upload it with the new version.

Thanks,
Dan

OK Great.
I'll retest in RC3
I did get the "Save,Run,Canecel" ie dialog when I tried a wmv file - (and a Powerpoint File) - but I'll park that for now ;-)

Keep Up the Good work

Cheers
