Not able to download 1.0.rc2 release

Hi,

I am not able to download the release.

Also, I am interested in helping out testing the Server and Java client edition.

Please do let me know how I can go about this.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Xibo.

I have just tried downloading the 1.0.0-rc2 release from here: (https://launchpad.net/xibo/+download) and it seemed to work ok. Maybe there was a temporary problem with Launchpad when you tried earlier?

The Java Client is still in heavy development by Alex (who is not available until later on today). However I'm sure there is some scope for testing - certainly in the server component of Xibo.

Alex will no doubt add more information for you later on - in the mean time if you are still having problems with the download page add to this thread and I will do my best to help.

In fact you are correct... I just tried downloading the tarball of rc2 and this doesnt work. I'm not sure why but will try and get it fixed when I can.

As a workaround the ZIP does download correctly.

Did someone fix the tar.gz download? I just tried it and it worked fine for me.

I suspect it might have been a general problem with Launchpad, rather than something specifically with that file.
