Server Install Issues

When I am trying to run the install.php I get the following error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in e:\inetpub\wwwroot\xibo\lib\app\kit.class.php on line 44

Server is W2K3 , PHP

Any Ideas?

Hi Alex,

On the very first setp ..
ie; I have jsut unpacked the software to a folder /xibo ans tried toget to install.php

I have just looked at the code and see that it requires PHP version 5.0 so am just checking my PHP version..

I think it's actually 5.0.2 or later.

No Problem...
I'm on version 4.4 so will have to upgrade anyway..
I'll do that and let you know.

Steve - I've put a new check in the installer for PHP version.

I already checked for that, but on the second screen. It will now check before it includes kit.class.php and die with a helpful error message.

Sorry not having much luck at the moment - PHP upgarde gas not goe well and my server is down...

I'll get back to you once I get it settled down,,,,,

Ok After I fight with PHP I finally Got it to work!
Me server is up and running and a Single Display registered.

Please close this case.

That's great news. There have been a few bugs reported in 1.0.0-rc2. We're working hard to solve those at the moment.
