Client stops download after a while

Asked by Michael

Hi,
I am a new user of Xibo, I love it. Thanks for everyone who develop this.
I bought a new Windows 2008 server for xibo. I installed XAMP and everything works fine.
I new installed windows 8.1 client, download windows software and connect server it works fine.
I schedule new layouts, client download files and plays without problem.
But now I have a problem, client start download and some part of files finish
Like:
media: 84.mp4 (%34)
media: 91.mp4 (%45)
media: 90.mp4 (%100) exc.
the problem is, sometimes (I think big files) after a little download, download stops, the info says "Requesting connection to Xibo Server" and operation timed out. If I close and open xibo client, download starts again. and after a little time about 3-5 minutes stops again.
What is the problem releated, My server is strong enough, and now I don't have lots of clients, just 2 clients for test.

Thanks.

Best Regards

Can you make sure you have the very latest .NET framework installed on the client PC - that is the usual culprit for these sorts of network errors.

Hello,
Uninstall xibo 1.6 and install 1.7rc1 , server and client side. So download problem never happened. I think its a bit faster from 1.6.4 also.
Thank you

I think that means you've solved it - if not please take it up on Github.
