CMS 1.7 layout

Hello,

I am just giving CMS 1.7 RC1 a try and i find it a bit odd compared to the 1.6 version.
I don't find it as easy as the old one. I agree CMS interface needed some improvement but for instance menu on the top was better i think. And maybe there are too much space lost with character size and padding. Would be better to have a compact view than having to scroll every page to find information.

But that's just my opinion. I will keep using this great piece of software !

By the way : in "displays" section, there is some issues displaying displays information in table. Table is wider than the screen and requires horizontal scrolling which is not really convenient. Even using a macbook with 1440x900 screen resolution

The first opportunity to comment on the redesign happened 4 months ago - and all of the feedback we have collected so far has been good. Fortunately we have made it even easier in this version to design your own theme and move the menu back to the top if you want to do so.

In any case, I have logged a bug for the display grid being too long - i suspect this wouldn't be such an issue if the menu collapsed down on the left hand side (we can look at that).
