Scrolling text issue

Hi All hope all are well, and a happy new year! :)

I seem to have an issue with a scrolling text in a region. Sometimes it will appear, other times it wont. I have 2 layout, and set them as campaign. Both of the layout have scrolling text, scrolling up, speed set to 2, and set to play for 100sec Again sometimes the text will appear and the next time it wont. any tips or advice would be awesome.

Also I have a website in a separate region, which works fine, including photos, it just the scrolling text i have a problem with.

Could you let us know which player and version you are using? We may also need some logging information from the client at the time the problem occurs (you can use the client information screen for this).

Thank you for replying :)
 Client is 1.6.0 on ubuntu 12.4
server is 1.6.4
It seems once its done the scrolling time, it stops, and comes back about 1hour, then goes again.

Hi Just an update. I have added another layout, and add it to my campaign (3 layout in total ) and notice that the first layout scrolling text is appearing more often. Might be a silly question, but is there a minimum requirement for the number of layouts for it to work correctly/smoothly ?

Hi James,

There isn't any minimum quantity of layouts required - what you are actually seeing is a known problem with the Ubuntu client, which is why we have had to abandon it and rethink our Linux player plans.

It turned out to be an unfixable (by us anyway) problem with the libbrowsernode part of the client that loads web content (which scrolling text is).
