Negative offset resets to zero on win 1.6.4

Asked by roy

When trying get the client to be displayed on a secondary display to the left or above the default; setting the appearance offset for x & y to negatives will have the values reset to 0 upon changing focus. I have tried looking at the xiboclient.exe.config xml file thinking perhaps i could hard code it in there as it might just be a gui bug, but i have noticed that the configuration changes are not stored in that file. So i am unsure no where the configs are even stored to attempt a hardcoded solution.

It was mentioned in 191525 that a bug might be opened regarding this, but i see no mention of this bug having been opened when doing a search in the bugs.

Examples: A is primary (1), B is secondary(2)

B < A = offset x = -1024 (resets to zero)

B
^
A = offset y = -768 (will reset to zero)

Thank you for a great product!

The settings are stored in the user profile for the logged in user.

I regularly use negative offsets during development (I have a small screen for the client to run in which is up and left when compared to the primary monitor), so it is quite confusing that this isn't working.

Are you trying to run two players on the same PC?

I have tried running 2 clients (ideally one for each monitor) and i have tried running only one client on a clean install. But in the client options using the Appearance tab it will not take negative entries for the "Offset X & Y" values. The moment i click "Save" or change fields the negative value reverts to "0".

Is there a way to hardcode the entry?

You'd need to find the config file that is stored in the logged in users roaming profile (under the Xibo folder).

Something like C:\Users\**user**\AppData\Local\Xibo\XiboClient.exe_***\2.0.0.0\user.config

Can you help with this problem?
