1.7.0 Linux Client

Is there going to be a 1.7.0 Linux client? Will it support other distros such as Arch instead of just Ubuntu?

I know that there has been a post stating that there isn't a stable client other than a python client but why would that be distro specific?

No its unlikely at this stage. It will be addressed for 1.8

No. 1.7 isn't even released yet!
