Compatible hardware for Python client

Asked by mmt8

I have seen a list here: http://xibo.org.uk/manual/index.php?toc=getting_started&p=install/python_client_hardware
And I can understand that you cannot check all of the PC's in the market. But what do I need to know before buying a PC which is not in this list?

I wouldn't at this stage.

The client is alpha, not intended for production use. So unless this is
just a test system use one of the stable release clients

I see. So Linux users should not use it in production right?

You can use the CMS on Linux for production, but the Linux client is not
for production use. It's not stable enough

No its not compatible. It's something we're looking to address properly in
the 1.8 cycle
