xibo linux glx

Asked by Ronan SALMON

on a ubuntu 12.04 with the latest ATI driver, Xibo can't play video properly. (missing frames)
I tried with vlc and I was having the same issue.
So I change in vlc the video output parameter from 'predefined' to 'GLX output' and the video is showing fine now in VLC.

How can I do the same with Xibo ?

Thanks.

It is what it is. You could try the open source drivers rather than the ATI
ones.

Whether it works on vlc is irrelevant - Xibo isn't based on VLC. It uses
libavg which in turn uses ffmpeg

I already tried the opensource drivers, but they don't work.

I guess there are no way of telling libavg/ffmpeg to use GLX output as vlc does?

yeah, they are totally separate so i don't think the two could be easily combined.
