XIBO not listing layouts after upgrade

After upgrading to Xibo 1.6.1 (from 1.2.1) I cannot find the previous layouts in the listing. They're all still in the database (30 of them), but for some reason none are being listed.

Did you go through the upgrade process correctly as there is a database
conversion to run as part of that

I had some problems with the database conversion, particularily the foregin key constraints, which I eventually commented out because it seemed that they were already present (the constraints) in the database. Should I try do revert the database to the old state and upgrade again?

There are programmatic changes. You need the entire upgrade to run properly
- you can't just apply the SQL upgrade files from memory.

If it's erroring on constraints it sounds like you are running a
non-release version of the cms (perhaps taken from bzr) so you'll need to
work out which parts of the upgrade process have already been run and which
needs to be done

It might also be worth "jumping" up the versions - perhaps go to an early 1.4, then to 1.6.4
