Android client unable to retrieve layout

Asked by Ron Planken

We have been using Xibo 1.2.2 for quite a while now and we are looking into upgrading to the new version with Android clients. We created a new server with the latest Xibo version on it, version 1.6.4, purchased a MK 802iiis and installed a trial version of the Android client on it.

The client registers properly, but when we try to assign a Layout to it it keeps getting stuck on:

RetrieveRemoteResourceUnable to get: 4_47ff29524ce1b_158fe9ac02befba556b0faec27998a20.html

It shows this line over and over. On the server it shows the following shows up in the logfile:

395 2014-11-06 10:43:56 Client onTrimMemory Trim Request [level=80] at Total:384. Used: 5. Device Total: 5. Device Free: 0
396 2014-11-06 10:43:56 Client onTrimMemory Trim Request [level=80] at Total:384. Used: 5. Device Total: 5. Device Free: 0
397 2014-11-06 10:43:56 Client onTrimMemory Trim Request [level=80] at Total:384. Used: 5. Device Total: 5. Device Free: 0
398 2014-11-06 10:46:49 Client onTrimMemory Trim Request [level=20] at Total:384. Used: 6. Device Total: 6. Device Free: 0

The website is reachable from the device if using a browser. Could anyone be so kind as to point me in the proper direction? I would love to purchase multiple licences but can only justify doing so if everything works properly.

With regards,

Ron

You are correct - although in this case it does seem like a CMS error rather than a Client error.

You may want to check your CMS logs.
