The XiboClient has stopped working on Windows XP

Asked by Felipe Santos

Hi,

I got a error message running on Windows XP.

XiboClient has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovinience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

The server and client are 1.6.3 version.

I tried clean the Library but it did not work.
We are running two avi file and one Embedded HTML.

How to solve?
I got the players with same message.

Thanks.

Do your AVI files have any codec requirements? It could be 3rd party codec's causing the issue.

Hi Dan,

The avi file has codec H.264.
This file runs ok on Android device.
Should I do some test?
Thanks

the two clients are totally different so you cannot really compare the two.

Try a process of elimination to work out what is crashing your client (i.e. remove things until it starts working). My money would be on a codec issue with the AVI file, or something corrupt with your installation.

Can you help with this problem?
