ldconfig error when compiling on RPi

Asked by Anthony Sontag

I am building the Xibo client on a Raspberry Pi Model B usning Raspian. I installed all required packages except for flashplugin-nonfree and I installed libswscale2 instead of libswscale0. When I type in sudo ldconfig this is what I get:

ldconfig: /usr/local/lib/liblibberkelium.so is for unknown machine 3

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libberkeliumwrapper.so is for unknown machine 3

I'm assuming these are errors and I have not found another thread with this problem so far. I did have to use an alternative source for the SOAPpy package.

The RPi is not a suitable platform. It's not powerful enough. It is not
supported by the project

So you aren't even going to try and solve the problem?

We can't because the hardware is not suitable.

There are already images for the RPi if you insist on trying to use it, but
they're barely functional and the project categorically does not
recommended or support it as a platform as it's fundamentally unsuitable

Sorry for being a jerk. Would a Beaglebone Black be a good substitute?

In terms of hardware, they don't appear to be much different. We can see the lure of these devices, but we are running flat out dealing with devices we think will work, we really don't have time to consider ones we don't think will work.

Hopefully someone else in the community will respond to your other question.

Can you help with this problem?
