Filter field only 50 characters wide

I'm trying to do a filter on a dataset but am finding there is a restriction of 50 characters in the Filter field. Why is this?

My filter is: (date BETWEEN CURDATE() AND Event7) AND (Venue = "H"), but the last few characters are being truncated. Can I somewhere increase this field length?

There shouldn't be any truncation occurring.

It is most likely your double quotes, try with single quotes
