After editing layout, connection lost with the client

What is shown on the client information screen on the client?

Nothing only the splasch screen

When i use the deafault layout thats comes with the installation, it works well. but even when i make a copy of the default lauout and i make chages. it will lost the conection with the template. and i get the splach screen

keyboard to bring it up

I think you do net get me. I realy do not know how to explain. It's behavior is strange.

But i have the info screen, what do you want to know? about the information on the screen?

That's not any kind of error. There must be other stuff on the screen.

by tyhe way, when i use the preview layout in de disigner menu it works.
There are not pictures in the layout only tekst within two regio's

I need to know what it says at the end of the error lines. They're cut off
in your screen shot

I am sorry but it is not poseble to see what is next to the cut of the screen. i try to have other screen settings or copy past. but that all failt the only thing i can say that it is a pat to an HTM file or to an .xlf file

You can export the log to a file to see

Make sure you run the Xibo client as an administrator just for now

I will try to get the log exported, but it works not so easy. An other thing it says some ting about the chacracter set. But i come back to you. I work on an other platform (Website) with the version 1.4 with out these problems.

We can't do anything further without a complete error message

Sounds like you have wrong or invalid options on your ticker media item

there is NO ticker media :-)

only tekst and one clock tag

by the way i had one ticker, but becase of the problems i have remoeved them. even i deletet the whole template en make a new one. also i had re conect the clients. I have also picked a other computer and install the client but the problems are the same.
 so now i have a new computer (used) and instal the client on this one but the problem is the same.

Then the client can't be updating correctly as it's still trying to run a
ticker.

If you go in the client options and click register what does it say?

Display is active and ready to start.

now now one tekst region is running on the client screen the other four are not displayed

What's in the other regions?

one has the clock tag
others only tekst

do you want acces to my server and client?

Right, start with a really simple layout. One region with an image with
duration 5 seconds. Then once that's working, add in other regions until it
breaks. Then tell us what you find.

None of the things you're doing break for me so it's something local to
your installation

It says that the layout is invalid. You're absolutely sure that you have
permission to write to the client library directory you've configured, and
that the client library and server library aren't set to the same location
on disk?

on the client computer runs only the administrator no other users are instaled. so i asume that the problem is not on the client level but on the server. do you now how i chec the exact pat for my direct admin user pannel. problely i did somthing wrong here (strange because if has worked for one day)

i found the problem, what i did wa this. i have a templet with a picture as back ground. with out any regions. the i adid a region and saved. then i add a picture. the this picture was shown on the client screen. the i have moved the regio and saved it. the problem starts. after moving the regio to an other plase it desepeerd on the client. but it is still on the previeuw on the server.

i found the uploded picturs in the libary on the server, so that mean to me that the path must be right configured

Open the region options for that region and ensure that the region size and
positions are integers - ie whole numbers

i have reinstall the server new download new data base. still same problem.
do i have to go to an earlyer version?
