Where are Display scripts stored

I'm assuming the Xibo Designs have a name.php or something similar and are in a directory somewhere on the server hard drive. A good look in xampp and its sub directories revealed no obviously named files.

Is my understanding correct?

Layouts and their scheduling is stored in the database. There's no flat
files except for file-based media items - eg images or videos
